LEGAL COUNSEL – 6 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT

Locations: Windsor, Glasgow, Southampton, Milton Keynes, Northampton, or Egham

Hybrid working: 2-3 days per week in the office

Role Overview:

Morgan Philips is representing a global logistics and supply chain company in their search for a Legal Counsel for a 6-month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Head of Legal, EMEA, the successful candidate will support the legal functions including negotiating commercial contracts, risk management, insurance, corporate compliance, and liaising with external legal counsel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, negotiate, and draft various contracts such as Master Service Agreements, Vendor Agreements, Software licenses, ecommerce contracts, Agency and Trademark Agreements, NDAs, etc.
• Manage property lease renewals and negotiations.
• Handle dispute resolution, including defending major disputes and strategizing for smaller ones.
• Support trademark enforcement across UK & I.
• Assist with GDPR and privacy compliance.
• Contribute to building the UK & I legal team, defining legal strategies and initiatives.
• Provide legal support for business and operational requests.
• Collaborate with outside counsel to optimize costs and mitigate risks.
• Support HR with drafting employment agreements, staffing agreements, and releases.
• Enhance legal compliance with HR and Compliance teams.

Required Experience:

• Experience in Commercial law and Contracts is essential.
• Ideally 2-4 years PQE.
