Job Description:

Hawkwood is partnering with a rapidly scaling FinTech company based in London, on a mission to transform global payments. After closing nearly $10 million in Series C funding, they are expanding into the US and seeking a Learning & Development Manager to enhance their employee development programs.

This role offers the opportunity to develop the L&D function, working closely with senior leadership to identify training needs, promote internal mobility, and support high performance across global teams.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Designing, implementing, and evaluating scalable learning programs aligned with business objectives.
  2. Collaborating with department heads and HR leaders to shape L&D strategies.
  3. Creating engaging learning content and managing external provider relationships.
  4. Overseeing onboarding processes to ensure new employees are well-supported from day one.
  5. Launching learning paths and succession plans to facilitate internal mobility.
  6. Promoting a coaching culture through formal and informal initiatives.
  7. Managing the Learning Management System (LMS) for content relevance and accessibility.
  8. Tracking KPIs to measure program effectiveness and drive improvements.

Requirements for success:

  1. Proven experience in L&D, preferably within FinTech, tech scaling, or Financial Services (FCA regulatory experience is a plus).
  2. A strategic yet hands-on approach, adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
  3. Experience designing, delivering, and evaluating various learning initiatives.
  4. Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholder influence capabilities.
  5. A passion for people development, continuous improvement, and fostering a high-performance culture.
