Job Description:

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer (Node.js) to join a dynamic start-up in West London (Hybrid – 3 days in office). The company is backed by a major travel brand, offering a unique opportunity to shape and expand a cutting-edge technology stack.

As a key member of the tech team, you will help scale and innovate, working on robust back-end servers and back-office systems. You will gain exposure across the entire development lifecycle, from planning and design to architecture, back-end, and front-end development. Your responsibilities include:

1. Collaborating with the systems architecture team to refine and enhance infrastructure.
2. Understanding current architecture and scaling technologies.
3. Building and implementing new API systems with ferry operators, third-party providers, etc.
4. Developing new features for admin back-office systems and CMS.
5. Designing solutions balancing business needs and technical feasibility.
6. Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, including CI development.
7. Mentoring junior developers.
8. Optimizing performance and user experience.

Candidate requirements:

1. Senior developer with mentoring experience.
2. Self-starter with problem-solving and debugging skills.
3. Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
