Job Opportunity: Junior MEP Design Manager

An award-winning Main Contractor, specializing in high-rise residential, commercial, and hospitality projects across London, is seeking a Junior Design Manager with a focus on MEP to join their dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will be mechanically biased, well-rounded in both disciplines, and possess a minimum of 2-3 years\’ experience in a consultancy environment.

Joining a financially robust company with a £400m turnover, the Junior MEP Design Manager will work on a diverse portfolio of high-value projects, typically ranging from £100m to £200m. The company is committed to employee development and career progression.

Responsibilities:

1. Implement and maintain effective design processes, addressing deviations to keep projects on schedule.
2. Serve as a key liaison, coordinating with suppliers and the Design Integrator, resolving queries, and fostering teamwork.
3. Ensure designs prioritize ease of maintenance, health, safety, and welfare, in line with project plans.
4. Collaborate with quality, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Qualifications:

• A degree or professional qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience managing MEP design, with a solid understanding of detailed design principles and industry standards.
• Practical knowledge of Construction Regulations.
