As the IT Infrastructure Manager, you are responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the company's IT infrastructure and systems. This includes, but is not limited to, Windows Servers, Active Directory, Entra, Networks, and Firewalls. You will support the infrastructure architecture by providing technical expertise, applying design principles and methodologies to ensure cost-effective and optimal use of resources and technology. You will evaluate and design solutions as required for business and customer needs and help develop the strategic direction. You will ensure that our infrastructure is implemented securely, following guidance from NIST, NCSC, CIS, etc. Additionally, you will ensure all systems are maintained, supported, and compliant with our security certifications.
Experience in a similar-sized environment with circa 1000+ users is required.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a strategic plan for IT infrastructure, ensuring it meets business needs and aligns with the wider business strategy.
- Identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve business processes and performance.
- Provide 3rd line support for all infrastructure-related issues, managing internal and external resources for quick and effective resolution.
- Provide technical and design support for business-specific solutions, ensuring standards for service and compliance are adhered to.
- Ensure infrastructure availability and support, including but not limited to: Servers and operating systems, Messaging - Microsoft Exchange, Exchange Online, Mail Filtering, Telephony and unified communications, Networking (LAN, WAN, WLAN, Firewalls), Anti-Virus - Sophos, Backups - Arcserve, Database - SQL, Printing, File Storage, Directory management, Web filtering - Forcepoint, Service monitoring - PTRG, Office 365, Microsoft Entra, Cloud migrations.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in similar roles.
- Experience working in an SME environment with circa 1000+ users.
- Experience with ITIL qualifications.
- Industry relevant qualifications such as MCSE.
- Outstanding problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- ISO27001:2022 experience.
- Windows Server cloud migrations.
