Join a dynamic manufacturing environment in County Durham, designing and producing high-tech products for critical applications. We are seeking a Yield Engineering Manager, an Integration Manager, or an experienced Integration Engineer ready to step into a managerial role to lead the yield and integration team. This role offers a supportive environment with autonomy and exposure to advanced technologies in engineering, physics, and science.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and qualify new production technologies with cross-functional teams
- Lead process integration efforts, aligning design, development, and manufacturing
- Manage and mentor engineers focusing on process integration and yield improvement
- Analyze yield data to identify issues and drive improvements
- Perform detailed yield Pareto analyses to reduce scrap
- Lead problem-solving activities to resolve process challenges
- Coordinate development milestones and review processes
- Collaborate with quality, production, and engineering teams to resolve deviations
- Define and monitor KPIs to meet performance goals
- Ensure safety standards and promote continuous improvement
- Oversee budget and resource planning, supporting engineering capabilities
- Implement lean manufacturing and cost-reduction strategies
- Utilize tools like 8D, 5Ys, Ishikawa, Pareto, PPS, SPC, DoE, FMEA, and DFMEA
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Experience as Yield and Integration Manager, or stepping into a managerial role from an Integration Engineer
- Background in materials science, physics, electrical, or electronic chemistry
- Experience in semiconductor or related fields such as RF & Microwave Electronics, HDDs/external storage, or academia
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience with a proactive approach
- Willing to relocate to County Durham
