One of the nation’s leading FMCG firms is investing heavily in its Strategic Procurement Hub , and due to an influx of major £ Multi-Million projects they are in need of an Indirect Procurement Category Manager to join their award winning team. As well as a challenging project oriented environment, the Indirect Category Manager will enjoy bringing strategic leadership to this immature, growing category.

As Indirect Category Manager you will:

1. Create and implement category strategies for key spend areas aligned with the Business Units and Group Service functions
2. Develop senior stakeholder relationships, expanding procurement’s involvement and control of non-traditional spend areas
3. Use your deep knowledge of sourcing and/or category management processes to drive transformational change and improvement
4. Present key insight/updates to the key stakeholders covering data analysis & market insight in order to ensure effective planning and decision making
5. Implement a supplier relationship strategy to achieve the agreed KPIs and to develop sustainable added value potential

Required experience & qualifications:

1. Significant Indirect category management
2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in Procurement
3. Specialist knowledge & experience in the defined categories of either energy, utilities, chemicals, FM, Capex, MRO or packaging recycling is desirable
4. Ability to turn strategies and decisions into action
