Artis Recruitment has been engaged by a leading name within the food manufacturing sector to support their search for a new Head of Supply Chain. The Head of Supply Chain role will be responsible for leading and optimising the entire planning, scheduling, and distribution function on the Newport site. Driving performance across the end-to-end supply chain, the Head of Supply Chain will work in close partnership with commercial and production teams to deliver operational excellence and support business growth.
About the Role
- Develop and implement the supply chain strategy with a focus on delivering measurable improvements.
- Effective and efficient management of the planning, scheduling and distribution teams in order to maintain OTIF and stock levels.
- Manage end-to-end supply chain functions, identifying and delivering improvements where found.
- Develop robust supply chain processes, mitigating risk where possible.
- Work closely with non-production teams to understand demand, challenges and opportunities.
- Lead and develop the team, upskilling, mentoring and delegating where needed.
- Review and make recommendations for improvements to controls and processes.
About your experience
- Proven track record of leading a supply chain function within the FMCG, food manufacturing or food service sector.
- Deep understanding of supply chain fundamentals with experience of managing end-to-end processes.
- Proven leadership skills, ability to build and develop high performing teams.
- High proficiency in planning systems and Microsoft suite.
