My client, a highly successful South West of England based company, is currently looking for a Head of Sales to be accountable for delivering the sales objectives — both acquisition and retention — providing effective and motivational leadership of the sales function. Ideally, you must live in the South West of England.
You will take responsibility for all their direct sales channels (field, desk, and resellers) and segments (consumer and business), aiming to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of each channel, ensuring productivity along with the adoption of best practices and new technologies where applicable.
Skills and Experience:- 10 years of experience in a sales position within a fast-paced and dynamic business environment, preferably as a Senior Sales Manager.
- A proven ability to lead a sales team towards growth in sales volumes and revenue, with strong leadership skills and confidence.
- Experience evaluating product/market situations, analyzing data, and transforming insights into actionable sales strategies and reports.
- The ideal candidate will already be at a senior level, with this role serving as a stepping stone into a C-suite position for the right individual.
- Responsibility for driving sales managers to optimize team performance.
- Supporter of sales opportunities, with a desire to develop a high-performance sales culture and drive sales momentum.
- Experience building and managing a high-performing sales function, including reporting and analysis of team performance.
- Conducting internal sales meetings to motivate, inform, and support the sales team in achieving their objectives.
- Ongoing performance management, including developing top performers and supporting lower performers through continuous improvement processes.
