Head of Quality Control

Walker Cole International is searching for a Head of Quality Control to join a Pharmaceutical company based in Manchester. As the Head of Quality Control , you will be responsible for leading a growing team and commissioning a GMP laboratory.

Your responsibilities as the Head of Quality Control will be:

• Lead, develop and recruit a team of QC Scientists and Team Leaders.
• Oversee all budget and executive responsibilities.
• Ensure all testing is carried out with properly developed, validated and approved methods in accordance to cGMP/Good Manufacturing Practice and ISO guidelines.
• Work cross functionally with project management and production to support seasonal and periodic increases in workload.
• A key member of the site leadership team.

The successful candidate for the Head of Quality Control will be:

• Degree, Masters or PhD educated in life sciences.
• Extensive pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry experience.
• Quality Control leadership skills at Manager or Team Leader level.
• Subject Matter Expertise in Environmental Monitoring/Sterility Assurance is highly desirable.
