The Role
- Provide strategic legal leadership across all business units within the region.
- Act as the key legal advisor to senior management and regional boards.
- Manage a wide variety of commercial, corporate, and project-related legal matters.
- Negotiate high-value contracts and support risk review processes.
- Lead on dispute resolution, pre-litigation strategy, and litigation management.
- Serve as Company Secretary for regional entities and ensure sound corporate governance.
- Oversee compliance with legal, regulatory, and data privacy frameworks.
- Mentor and manage a regional legal team of eight professionals.
- Contribute to global legal strategy and collaborate with international legal peers.
- Support internal training on legal, integrity, and contract matters.
The Person
- A Master of Law degree and a valid UK practising certificate (SRA-registered).
- 7+ years of post-qualification experience in construction, infrastructure, or energy sectors.
- Proven leadership of legal teams and capability to advise C-suite and board stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of contract law (including FIDIC, NEC4, or equivalent frameworks).
- Strong commercial judgement and ability to lead negotiations in high-stakes environments.
- Experience in compliance, data privacy, and integrity-related investigations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach.
