This role requires a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide hands-on support at customer locations, with in-depth knowledge of hardware and software configurations of physical systems, and proficiency in the company's software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong written and presentation skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills to support users of varying proficiency levels.
- Relevant experience in technical ICT roles.
- Experience installing and configuring computer hardware, networks, domain accounts, troubleshooting user and hardware issues.
- Proficiency with Windows OS (Windows 10/11, Server 2016/2018) and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Understanding of server and network infrastructure configuration and operation.
- Good knowledge of hardware and software specifications.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the UK and overseas to customer sites.
Experience
- Solid education in IT and experience in an IT environment.
- Understanding of ICT issues, operating systems, software, data management, and hardware/services evaluation.
- Experience with cable dressing, management, termination, and cable limitations.
- Basic civil engineering skills.
- Customer-facing experience.
- Ability to work with internal departments across disciplines and levels.
- Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.
