This role requires a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide hands-on support at customer locations, with in-depth knowledge of hardware and software configurations of physical systems, and proficiency in the company's software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strong written and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to support users of varying proficiency levels.
  • Relevant experience in technical ICT roles.
  • Experience installing and configuring computer hardware, networks, domain accounts, troubleshooting user and hardware issues.
  • Proficiency with Windows OS (Windows 10/11, Server 2016/2018) and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Understanding of server and network infrastructure configuration and operation.
  • Good knowledge of hardware and software specifications.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the UK and overseas to customer sites.

Experience

  • Solid education in IT and experience in an IT environment.
  • Understanding of ICT issues, operating systems, software, data management, and hardware/services evaluation.
  • Experience with cable dressing, management, termination, and cable limitations.
  • Basic civil engineering skills.
  • Customer-facing experience.
  • Ability to work with internal departments across disciplines and levels.
  • Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.
