VisionFR is excited to be acting on behalf of a leading integrated creative and graphics production group with international operations. Our Client’s group comprises of a growing number of agencies, their services range from creative through to multi-channel delivery (including Manufacturing) collectively offering their clients the most effective route to market. They are looking to employ a qualified and ambitious Group Accountant for their UK head office.
The Group Accountant will be responsible for the monthly consolidated financial reporting, interim and full year financial statements and group cash flow. This is largely a stand-alone role, but with interaction with the other finance teams throughout the group. There will be opportunities to get involved with some M&A activity, visiting the group companies, reviewing processes and efficiencies. The Group is fairly complex in accounting terms with a number of share option schemes and minority interests to account for, so they need someone technically strong with a keen interest in growing on your skill set.
The key responsibilities of the Group Accountant are:
- Production of monthly group consolidated accounts, forecasts and budgets (via ‘Konsolidator’), including ownership of consolidation adjustments.
- Preparation of interim and full year consolidated financial statements, and full year entity financial statements, under FRS102.
- Leading the annual group audit and corporation tax process in the UK.
- Preparation of monthly consolidated cashflow.
- Liaising with centralised and decentralised finance teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of consolidated financial information.
- Bringing ideas for process improvement and insight.
The Group Accountant is expected to have the following skills and experience:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA).
- Strong technical skills and knowledge.
- Multi-currency experience.
- A positive and strong ‘can do’ attitude.
- The ability to bring fresh ideas.
- Great communications skills, both verbally and written.
