Gas & Power Business Analyst – Energy Trading | Power SME | 6 Months Rolling | Outside IR35 | Hybrid | £800/day

This role is for a Gas & Power Business Analyst with a deep understanding of Energy trading, market dynamics, and data from exchanges such as EPEX SPOT, EEX Futures, or Nord Pool. Experience with ETRM systems is highly advantageous, especially in onboarding, setup, trade capture, and modeling in ETRM.

The successful candidate will work on new functionalities related to trade volumes and PPA, collaborate with offshore teams, and help guide the organization through digital transformation in the Gas & Power markets. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential for working with offshore stakeholders and delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on new functionalities of trade volumes associated with trade PPA
• Understand data from exchanges and trade capture processes
• Set up exchange-based products and model them in ETRM systems
• Support the digital evolution of the company\’s Gas & Power systems
• Guide the client through market shifts and operational challenges during IT infrastructure upgrades

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the Physicals or Derivatives Energy Trading domain
• Strong background in Energy Trading, especially Gas & Power
• Experience with ETRM systems, product onboarding, curve setup, pricing, trade capture, valuations, and PNL
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working with offshore teams and documentation skills
