The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming principles and experience working with C++ and Unreal Engine . You will be responsible for writing efficient, readable code while collaborating with other disciplines to develop and refine core game systems. //Role Summary: Salary / Title: Subject to level of experience per candidate Location: Fully Remote, must be available during core hours each day 10am – 3pm GMT (UK) Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain gameplay code using C++ and Unreal Engine . Collaborate with other disciplines to achieve shared goals. Self-manage tasks and time efficiently to meet project deadlines. //Who are we? Vertpaint Games is a passionate and innovative game development studio dedicated to creating immersive and engaging gaming experiences. //Project Summary: Ritual Tides: Set at the end of the 19th century, our protagonist explores a remote and highly authentic British island. Proficiency in C++ and Unreal Engine development . Ability to write efficient and readable code . Experience with source control systems . Nice to Have: 1+ years of experience working as a programmer in the games industry. Familiarity with Blueprint programming in Unreal Engine. Experience in designing and implementing core game systems . Knowledge of other Unreal Engine pipelines , e.g. Animation, Game Design, UI, or Audio . Experience with Perforce for source control.
