Why this role matters
We’re on the hunt for a visionary Art Director to lead creative content at INKEY. This role is about crafting bold, strategic, thumb-stopping creative that speaks directly to our community and keeps INKEY visually ahead of the curve. Reporting into our Creative Director and working closely with Head of Design and Head of Creative Operations, you’ll shape big ideas and lead their execution from concept to final sign-off.
What you'll be doing
- Drive idea generation - from creative strategy to visuals that land, leading concept development across social, integrated campaigns and always-on.
- Own your creative lane - develop work across digital, social (organic and paid), email, VM/POS, print/packaging and brand collabs.
- Tell stories that stick - marry visual craft with powerful narrative, working closely with copy to bring everything to life.
- Protect the brand - live and breathe INKEY’s visual language, keeping our look and feel consistent, fresh and fearless.
- Be hands-on - from casting and prop styling on smaller shoots to giving expert feedback on retouching. Managing and collaborating with producers, photographers, videographers, set designers and other creative partners.
- Social-first storytelling – a social first mindset with a strong understanding of digital and emerging platforms.
- Lead the team - mentor junior creatives, champion collaboration, and create space for others to thrive.
- Run the room - confidently present concepts and storyboards to internal teams and partners.
- Collaborate like a pro - team up with brand, marketing, product, social, trade, and digital to deliver sharp, strategic creative that performs.
- Stay ahead - track industry and beauty trends so INKEY always feels like what’s next.
- Support better ways of working - spot inefficiencies, bring solutions, and help improve our creative process.

What you'll bring
- 5+ years of creative content and art direction experience in beauty, luxury, or agency.
- An ideas-first mindset with a knack for translating strategy into impactful visuals.
- A standout portfolio that proves your range in motion, stills, print, digital, and experiential.
- You’ve worked with the best photographers, videographers, and stylists and know how to get the most out of them.
- Sharp digital instincts understanding what works where, and why.
- Proficient in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong leadership and clear communication - you're a team builder and a decision-maker.
- Project management skills that keep everything running without breaking a sweat.
