We are partnered with a well-known FinTech, looking for a Lead Product Designer with deep expertise designing natively for Android and iOS. The business has grown significantly over the last 3-5 years and has built a reputation as a deeply customer-centric product business.
As part of their commitment to building functional and beautiful products for their customers to use, they are making a shift away from React Native in order to design natively across Android and iOS. This project is less about doing design work - it’s about hiring someone who has deep expertise in designing natively for mobile (Android and iOS), who can work with the team to set the right foundations and ways of working for the project, as well as to realise the potential/power of designing natively in terms of design and experience - it’s a real coach/consultancy role for someone who has been there, seen it, and done it many times over.
The ‘must-have’ experience:
- You are an expert designing natively for Android and iOS - you will have likely dedicated many of your previous roles in this area, and have the portfolio of work to back it up.
- You have prior experience in leading similar projects - think setting structure/foundations, as much as leading on execution within design teams.
- Great people, coaching, and workshopping skills - You’ll be leading a team of designers, as well as close collaboration with mobile developers and PMs across the business.
The practical details:
- Likely a 3-month initial engagement + ongoing consultancy.
- London/Hybrid; you’ll need to be in the office two days per week.
If this sounds like you, I’d love to chat.
