Are you passionate about advancing your career in the evolving energy industry? Join our Operational Services Team as a Field Systems Support Officer, based in Shiremoor, Sunderland, Castleford, or Hellaby.

Northern Powergrid is at the forefront of delivering a smart, innovative power network to serve 8 million customers across the Northeast, Yorkshire, and northern Lincolnshire.

In this role, you will support and train Operations staff in field devices, applications, and processes, ensuring efficient and effective operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Become an expert in all Field Systems applications, providing support to operational staff and managers.
• Deliver training and develop training materials for Field Systems applications.
• Support Field Operations users, including initial training, early life support, and refresher training.
• Support NPg Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) operations and pilots.
• Coordinate with IT and service providers regarding system faults, issues, and improvements.
• Assist in designing and producing digitized forms and mobile data capture processes.
• Support programs such as BHE Transformation, Powerlink, and related software applications.

Skills and Attributes:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Teamwork and flexibility.
• Excellent customer service and ownership of solutions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (including MS Project, Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
• Project management skills, including scheduling and prioritization.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

• Full UK Driving License.
• Strong communication and organization skills.

Desirable:

• Project Management experience.
• Microsoft Office training courses.
• Experience in field device or application rollout and training.
• Experience supporting diverse aptitude levels.
