Role Overview: Due to continued growth and success, they are excited to invite applications for an experienced Estimator to join their expanding Fit-Out Division. With 3-5 years of experience in Estimating, you will be a key part of their Commercial Team, working with multinational clients to ensure projects are accurately priced and submitted according to client requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator looking to progress their career with a forward-thinking company that invests in its people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-tender site visits across the UK and Ireland.
- Manage the tender process, ensuring all deliverables are met.
- Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities from drawings, specifications, and schedules of finishes.
- Source, negotiate, and obtain competitive quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for work packages.
- Complete priced Bills of Quantities and assess risk levels for each project.
- Support the Bid Team in the preparation of tenders.
- Calculate site preliminary costs and present tender submissions to the Commercial Manager for approval.
- Ensure timely submission of tenders by set deadlines.
- Lead meetings and transition from pre-contract to post-contract operations.
- Attend post-tender interviews with the client and design team.
- Collaborate with the Quantity Surveying team to implement the commercial strategy.
Essential Criteria:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years' relevant Estimating experience within a Fit Out/Construction company.
- Qualification: A Third-Level Qualification in a construction-related subject or equivalent practical experience.
Desirable:
- Experience in the retail sector.
- Experience with estimating software such as Conquest.
- Willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland as needed.
