About The Role
You will join as the site’s EHS Manager, leading environmental, health & safety strategy at a key UK facility. Reporting into the Regulatory Compliance Director, you will oversee a small team and ensure full compliance with UK legislation, while embedding a proactive safety culture in a 24/7 industrial operation.
Responsibilities
- Lead all site-wide EHS strategy, compliance and policy implementation
- Develop and deliver employee and contractor training, toolbox talks and workshops
- Manage ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and other relevant standards, audits, and improvements
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
- Represent the site in corporate EHS meetings and liaise with regulatory authorities
- Drive performance through EHS KPIs, reporting, and management engagement
- Oversee COSHH, PUWER, LOLER, CDM compliance and maintain emergency plans
- Occasional travel required to an off-site storage facility
Requirements
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Level 6 qualification
- Proven experience in manufacturing, recycling, or waste management environments
- In-depth knowledge of UK HSE Legislation and ISO standards
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK without sponsorship
