General overview: The E-Commerce Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the online sales and marketing strategy across digital platforms, with a particular focus on increasing product visibility, generating leads, and improving user experience and conversion rates. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, you’ll play a critical role in driving digital transformation, managing e-commerce performance, and supporting the wider sales and marketing teams.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the e-commerce strategy.
- Optimise the online sales funnel, from product listing to checkout, improving UX and UI with internal and external resources.
- Manage product content, imagery, and SEO (in conjunction with a Marketing Executive) across all digital platforms.
- Analyse web traffic and user behaviour using tools such as Google Analytics and Hotjar to improve conversion.
- Oversee PPC, and collaborate on email marketing, and social media campaigns with other internal stakeholders or agencies.
- Maintain and update the website CMS, ensuring accurate, engaging, and timely content.
- Work closely with sales and production to align stock availability, pricing, and lead generation efforts.
- Monitor competitor activity and trends to inform pricing, positioning, and promotional strategy.
- Produce regular reports on sales performance, traffic, customer acquisition, and ROI on digital campaigns.
- Identify and implement e-commerce tools, plug-ins, or platform upgrades to enhance functionality.
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing e-commerce platforms (e.g. WordPress/WooCommerce, Shopify, Magento, etc.).
- Strong understanding of SEO, PPC, CRO, and digital analytics.
- Confident in using Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Search Console, and Meta Business Suite.
- Experience in a product-based, B2B or B2C e-commerce environment.
- Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, manufacturing-led environment.
