My Four Wheels is one of the most trusted and fastest-growing driving schools in the UK, with 200 driving instructors currently on the road and hundreds more in training. Due to COVID-related test centre backlogs, there is a record number of learner drivers needing instruction.

Over the past 12 months, our driving instructors' hourly rates have increased by an average of £3 due to high demand. Additionally, over 70% of our instructors have waiting lists, some as long as 6 months. Now is an excellent time to become a driving instructor.

Is Becoming a Driving Instructor Right for You?

Do you have good customer service skills? Anyone can become a driving instructor. We have recently recruited individuals from various industries, including:

  • Driving industry (HGV driver, delivery driver, van driver, LGV driver, bus driver)
  • IT industry (support, cybersecurity, web design, engineering, web development)
  • Education industry (teachers, teaching assistants, admin officers, personal assistants, lecturers)

We provide full training, conducted locally whenever possible. Our pass rates are well above the industry average, and we offer a refund of all training fees when you work with us.

Requirements to Become a Driving Instructor

  • Hold a full UK driving licence (or approved foreign licence) for at least 2.5 years
  • Have not been banned from driving in the last 4 years
