My Four Wheels is one of the most trusted and fastest-growing driving schools in the UK, with 200 driving instructors currently on the road and hundreds more in our training programme who will be hitting the roads shortly. There is currently a record number of learner drivers needing instruction due to test centre backlogs caused by COVID-19. Over the past 12 months, our driving instructors' hourly rates have increased on average by £3 due to high demand. Additionally, over 70% of our instructors have waiting lists, some as long as 6 months. There has never been a better time to become a driving instructor.

Is becoming a driving instructor right for you? Do you have good customer service skills? Anyone can become a driving instructor. Recently, we have recruited individuals from various industries, including:

  • Driving industry (HGV driver, delivery driver, van driver, LGV driver, bus driver)
  • IT industry (support, cybersecurity, web design, engineering, web development)
  • Education industry (teacher, teaching assistant, admin officer, personal assistant, lecturer)

Full training is provided, conducted as locally as possible. Our pass rates are well above the industry average, and we also refund all training fees when you work with us.

Application criteria to become a driving instructor:

  • Have held a full UK driving licence (or approved foreign licence) for at least 2.5 years
  • Have not been banned from driving in the last 4 years
