A well established AJ100 architecture practice based in Central London is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Interior Design to join its senior leadership team. With a rich portfolio across commercial workplace, hospitality, residential and mixed-use sectors, the practice is looking for a strategic, design-led individual to lead their Interior Design team. The practice works in both the UK and internationally. The Director of Interior Design will play a critical leadership role within the practice, responsible for developing the studio’s interior design strategy, winning work, managing clients, leading key projects, and maintaining the highest standards of design quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead interior design strategy across all sectors, ensuring creative and commercial success
- Drive business development by identifying opportunities, leading pitches and securing new work
- Act as a key representative of the practice in client meetings and industry events
- Oversee and mentor a large, multidisciplinary team of designers and architects
- Collaborate with directors and project teams to deliver integrated architectural and interior design solutions
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality design from concept to completion
- Lead and develop front-end design presentations and conceptual thinking
- Contribute to wider practice leadership and direction, shaping future growth
