As Business Development Lead, you will be expected to conduct yourself with the utmost professionalism and demonstrate strong leadership. Your main focus will be business development for the client, as well as supporting the internal team. This includes leading by example, motivating team members, and helping them develop their potential. As a Subject Matter Expert in climate change and sustainability, you will lead in developing and maximizing the contract and consultancy experience for clients. You will also oversee client projects, supervising consultants and team members to ensure client goals are met. Additionally, you will actively seek and pursue new business opportunities to support organizational growth and strategy.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify opportunities.
- Develop and deliver business growth strategies.
- Write bids, develop proposals, and respond to tenders.
- Engage with clients, potential clients, and partners.
- Promote the business through social media channels like LinkedIn.
- Develop and present case studies and lessons learned from projects.
- Contact subcontractors and clients to identify further opportunities.
- Manage large client accounts, reporting to senior leadership.
Internal Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with senior staff, clients, and stakeholders.
- Support leadership initiatives.
- Participate in business development activities and client interactions.
- Assist with bids and securing new work.

Office attendance is occasional, with offices in Bristol and London.
