The PR & Communications Director - Healthcare will lead and manage all communication strategies, public relations activities, and media relations for the healthcare organization. This role is responsible for promoting and maintaining a positive public image for the organization, managing internal and external communications, and enhancing the overall brand presence within the healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive PR and communication strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives. Oversee crisis communication strategies and serve as the primary spokesperson during media inquiries and emergencies.
- Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare journalists, media outlets, and key influencers. Manage media inquiries and interview requests, preparing executives for media interactions. Draft and distribute press releases, media kits, and other public relations materials.
- Content Creation: Oversee the creation of compelling and informative content, including articles, blog posts, newsletters, and social media updates. Ensure all content is accurate, relevant, and aligns with the organization's voice and messaging guidelines.
- Internal Communications: Develop and implement internal communication plans to keep employees informed and engaged. Manage internal newsletters, memos, and communication from senior leadership.
- Brand Management: Maintain and enhance the organization's brand identity and reputation. Ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels and materials.
- Event Management: Plan and coordinate public events, press conferences, and community outreach activities. Manage the logistics of events and ensure they are executed smoothly.
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of PR and communication efforts. Use data and feedback to refine and improve strategies. Qualifications:
