An established global insurer is seeking a Tax Manager to lead its Direct Tax function. This is a high-impact role responsible for managing tax compliance, reporting, advisory services, and risk management. You’ll also lead a small team of two Tax Accountants and play a strategic role in supporting the business on a range of corporate tax matters, including M&A.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly and quarterly tax reporting, with a focus on deferred tax, tax journals, and tax accounting.
- Ensure timely and accurate corporate tax compliance, managing statutory filings and tax audits.
- Provide expert advice on UK corporate tax matters, including business structuring and transactions.
- Drive tax risk management initiatives and implement tax planning strategies aligned with commercial goals.
- Monitor and advise on changes in UK tax legislation, ensuring the business remains compliant and informed.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across finance and business units to support planning and decision-making.
- Develop and mentor two Direct Tax Accountants.

- Fully qualified ATT, ACA, or CTA (or equivalent).
