OUTSIDE IR35 / REMOTE / AZURE DEVOPS ENGINEER

Our client is a Digital Transformation and Cyber Security Consultancy, currently seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer to join their dynamic team. They provide innovative digital and cybersecurity solutions to clients in the public and private sectors. The role involves working on large-scale Government and private sector projects.

ROLE OBJECTIVE

Seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer on contract to contribute to a public sector digital transformation program. The focus is on automation, cloud infrastructure optimization, and seamless continuous delivery across development and operations teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable Azure cloud infrastructure ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins with Groovy scripting for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with IaC tools like Terraform, Vagrant, and scripting languages such as Shell, Python, and PowerShell.
  • Manage containerized applications using Docker for streamlined deployment and environment consistency.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, and AlertManager for proactive system performance management.
  • Promote DevOps best practices in automation, security, and agile delivery to enhance operational efficiency and team productivity.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Practical experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Terraform for Azure infrastructure management.
  • Proficiency in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code frameworks.
  • Collaborative, proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills.
