Job Role Summary:
The Sales Development Representative plays a key role in developing new business opportunities for Acxiom. They drive net-new business, presales prospecting, targeting, and the daily activities associated with developing qualified leads for the Data Sales team within our verticals. This role supports the Sales Team by enhancing the pipeline with opportunities from qualified leads, ensuring all leads are contacted and either qualified or re-queued. They are also responsible for proactively establishing and developing a growing pipeline of prospects, increasing awareness of Acxiom’s solutions, and cultivating relationships for new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct, and coordinate sales activities, including managing the sales pipeline.
- Support the Sales Team by enhancing the pipeline with opportunities from qualified leads.
- Ensure all generated leads are contacted, qualified, scheduled for appointments, routed internally, or re-queued.
- Maintain and grow a pipeline of client and prospect contacts, increasing their knowledge of Acxiom and cultivating relationships for new opportunities.
- Develop and qualify prospective customers, including market penetration, engaging with senior executives, follow-up on webinars and events, and collaborating with sales for top prospects.
- Create, update, and execute sales activity plans.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong experience in lead generation, account development, or inside sales, preferably within digital, data, martech, or adtech markets.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Fluency in English; German is a plus but not required.
- Conscientious team player with good organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
- Able to anticipate problems, recognize opportunities, and handle objections.
- Ability to build strong internal relationships across sales, marketing, and operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Proactive with a positive attitude, focused, and committed.
