Job Role Summary:
The Sales Development Representative plays a key role in developing new business opportunities for Acxiom. They drive net-new business, presales prospecting, targeting, and activities to develop qualified leads for the Data Sales team within our targeted verticals. This role supports the Sales Team by enhancing the pipeline with opportunities, ensuring all leads are contacted and either qualified or re-queued. It also involves proactively establishing and developing a growing pipeline of prospects, increasing awareness of Acxiom’s solutions, and cultivating relationships for new business consideration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct, and coordinate sales activities, including managing the sales pipeline.
- Support the Sales Team by enhancing the pipeline with opportunities from qualified leads.
- Ensure all generated leads are contacted, qualified, scheduled for appointments, routed internally, or re-queued.
- Maintain and grow a pipeline of client and prospect contacts, increasing their knowledge of and relationship with Acxiom to stay in consideration for new opportunities.
- Develop and qualify prospective customers, including new market penetration, engaging with senior executives, follow-up on webinars and events, and collaborating with sales teams to identify top prospects.
- Create, update, and execute sales activity plans.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong experience in lead generation, account development, or inside sales, preferably in digital, data, martech, or adtech markets.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience.
- Fluency in English; German proficiency is a plus but not required.
- Conscientious team player, organized, attentive to detail, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to anticipate problems, recognize opportunities, and handle objections.
- Ability to build strong working relationships across internal teams including sales, marketing, and operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Pro-active with a “can do” attitude, focused, and committed.
