JOB ROLE SUMMARY:
The Sales Development Representative plays a key role in developing new business opportunities for Acxiom. They drive net-new business, presales prospecting, targeting, and the daily activities associated with developing qualified leads for the Data Sales team within our verticals. This role supports the Sales Team by enhancing the pipeline with opportunities, ensuring all leads generated are contacted and either qualified or placed back into the nurture queue. Additionally, this role aims to proactively establish and develop a growing pipeline of prospect contacts, increase awareness of Acxiom’s solutions, and cultivate relationships to be considered for new business opportunities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, direct, and coordinate sales activities, including management of the sales pipeline.
- Support the Sales Team by enhancing the pipeline with opportunities identified from qualified leads.
- Ensure all generated leads are contacted, qualified, appointments scheduled, routed within sales, or re-nurtured.
- Maintain a growing pipeline of client and prospect contacts, increasing their knowledge of Acxiom and cultivating relationships for new business consideration.
- Develop and qualify prospective customers, including new market penetration, engaging with senior-level executives, following up on webinars and events, and collaborating with sales teams to identify top prospects.
- Create, update, and execute sales activity plans.
SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong experience in lead generation, account development, or inside sales, preferably within digital, data, martech, or adtech markets.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience.
- Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus but not required.
- Conscientious team player, good organizer, attentive to detail, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Adept at anticipating problems, recognizing opportunities, and handling objections.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with internal teams including sales, marketing, and sales operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proactive with a positive attitude, focused, and committed.
