JOB ROLE SUMMARY:

The Sales Development Representative plays a key role in developing new business opportunities for Acxiom. They drive net-new business, presales prospecting, targeting, and the daily activities associated with developing qualified leads for the Data Sales team within our verticals. This role supports the Sales Team by enhancing the pipeline with opportunities, ensuring all leads are contacted and either qualified or placed back into the nurture queue. Additionally, the role involves proactively establishing and developing a growing pipeline of prospect contacts, increasing awareness of Acxiom’s solutions, and cultivating relationships for new business opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Plan, direct, and coordinate sales activities, including managing the sales pipeline.

· Support the Sales Team by enhancing the pipeline with opportunities identified from qualified leads.

· Contact all generated leads, qualify them, schedule appointments, route them within sales, or place them back into the nurture queue.

· Maintain a growing pipeline of client and prospect contacts, increasing their knowledge of Acxiom and cultivating relationships to be considered for new business opportunities.

· Develop and qualify prospective customers, including new market penetration, engaging with senior executives, following up on webinars and events, and collaborating with sales teams to identify top prospects.

· Create, update, and execute sales activity plans.

SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong experience in lead generation, account development, or inside sales, preferably within digital, data, martech, or adtech markets.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience.
  • Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus but not required.
  • Conscientious team player, well-organized, attentive to detail, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adept at anticipating problems, recognizing opportunities, and handling objections.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with internal teams including sales, marketing, and sales operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Pro-active with a positive attitude, focused, and committed.
