Job Description: They are looking for a natural people person who can forge long-lasting working relationships with customers and enjoys being their trusted advisor and their ‘go-to’ for advice about their software solutions and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out at least quarterly visits with customers to support their requirements, involving UK travel, some overnight stays, and excellent planning to optimize your days seeing multiple customers where geographically possible.
- Nurture customer accounts for upsell, cross-sell, and contractual revenue opportunities.
- Attend scheduled meetings with team members, including Line Managers, to discuss potential pipeline and ongoing activity.
- Maintain an appropriate level of knowledge of products, services, and technological developments to advise customers effectively.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and discuss projects with development, web, support, and account management teams.
- Maintain high standards of record-keeping on our CRM.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Work alongside Marketing to deliver and optimize opportunities from campaigns.
- Possess sales experience (new business and/or account management).
- Have experience in taking a consultative approach by understanding business processes and matching customer needs to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Be able to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, internally and externally.
- Exhibit excellent listening, presentation, and negotiation skills both face-to-face and on Teams.
- Have experience working with an ERP system.
- Possess knowledge of software implementation and training.
- Have knowledge of the stockist, merchant, distributor, and wholesale sector.
