Cobalt is excited to be working with a prestigious investment firm based in London to secure a Fund Financial Controller. Our client currently manages approximately £30bn AUM globally across multiple alternative asset classes, including private equity, credit, and real assets. The role is within the real assets team and involves working closely with the CFO on managing the current European fund and assisting in raising a new fund in 2025.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all aspects of daily financial reporting and control
• Manage the fund administration teams integral to fund control
• Ensure timely delivery of quarterly financial reports and partner’s capital updates to stakeholders
• Oversee the year-end audit process
• Maintain robust cash controls, liquidity reporting, and treasury management
• Prepare cash forecasts, develop cash planning strategies, and manage capital calls and distributions
• Manage the subscription facility with the fund’s agent
• Oversee the hedging strategy (FX and IR) in collaboration with advisors

Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• At least 3 years of post-qualification experience in fund accounting, preferably in real estate
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with keen attention to detail
• Motivated, with strong communication skills and relationship-building abilities
• Results-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
• Proactive with the ability to work accurately under tight deadlines, demonstrating professionalism and maturity
