About the Firm

A highly regarded international law firm with a strong reputation in the construction and engineering sector is seeking a Construction Disputes Solicitor (2-5 PQE) to join its London team. The firm advises a diverse client base, including developers, contractors, insurers, and investors, on complex and high-value disputes arising from major domestic and international projects.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious lawyer to work on high-profile and technically challenging disputes, gaining exposure to adjudications, arbitrations, and litigation in the Technology & Construction Court (TCC). The successful candidate will work closely with experienced partners and be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advising clients on contentious construction matters, including contract disputes, defects claims, professional negligence, and delay claims.
• Managing adjudications, mediations, arbitrations, and High Court litigation.
• Collaborating with colleagues across the firm, including those in the real estate, projects, and corporate teams.
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements, expert reports, and legal submissions.
• Supporting business development initiatives and fostering strong client relationships.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years PQE with a strong background in construction disputes (experience in both contentious and non-contentious work is beneficial but not essential).
• Experience in adjudication, arbitration, and/or litigation within the TCC.
• A strong academic record and excellent analytical and drafting skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work as part of a collaborative team.
• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to client service.
