We are working with a leading international law firm to hire a Conflicts Analyst in Sheffield. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting the firm’s risk and compliance operations by analysing potential conflicts of interest across a diverse range of practice areas. The firm is looking for someone with around one year’s experience in a professional services environment, ideally educated to degree level, though applications from candidates with differing levels of experience are welcomed where relevant skills can be demonstrated.

Some of the responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing and validating information submitted via request forms, using a variety of resources and liaising with fee earners when necessary
  • Interpreting complex search results from internal and external databases to assess potential conflicts
  • Communicating potential conflict issues clearly to stakeholders across the business
  • Escalating complex or sensitive issues to senior members of the risk team
  • Assisting in the set-up and management of information barriers
  • Keeping up to date with relevant regulatory requirements
  • Supporting education and awareness of conflicts policies within the firm
  • Contributing to team projects and providing cover for colleagues when needed
