Configuration and Data Management Engineer

Job Title: Configuration and Data Management Engineer Contract: Permanent Clearance: SC clearance required/must be able to attain SC clearance. Scope Akkodis has an opportunity within the Aerospace and Defence business unit for a role focused on Configuration Management (CM) supporting complex engineering projects. The role involves working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective CM practices throughout the product lifecycle, including specification, oversight, and adaptation of CM systems, and supporting key project milestones such as configuration audits and change control boards. Role The engineer supports CM activities in collaboration with engineering, business, and operations teams, defines CM requirements for suppliers, shares best practices, and contributes to configuration item selection and breakdown structures. Responsibilities Support CM activities across all stakeholders. Implement CM plans to ensure consistency and completeness of information. Define CM requirements for suppliers and subcontractors. Share best practices across product development phases. Participate in or manage change control boards. Support configuration audits and project reviews. Required Experience Experience across all product development phases and config baselines. Deep knowledge of system integration, CM practices, and tools in systems, hardware, and software. Familiarity with configuration baselines managing system evolution. Experience with PALMA or Windchill PLM. Required Skills Ability to work independently, prioritize, and apply judgment. Process-driven, analytical, detail-oriented, with a focus on data integrity. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
