An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CAD Drafter to join a leading engineering company in Dunfermline. This role involves designing and customising electro/hydraulic mechanical systems, producing detailed technical documentation, and providing technical support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare customer requirements documents.
  • Create detailed mechanical and electrical drawings for manufacturing.
  • Produce Bills of Materials and technical documentation.
  • Provide technical support to internal teams and customers.
  • Assist with technical proposals and estimating for future projects.
  • Perform basic mechanical and hydraulic calculations.
  • Maintain and update drawings and documentation following company procedures.

Skills & Experience

  • HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (additional experience considered in lieu of qualifications).
  • 3+ years of engineering experience, particularly in manufacturing drawing generation.
  • Proficiency in 3D modelling and 2D drafting (Creo 3) and AutoCAD LT (2013+).
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of welding, machining, casting, and forging techniques.
  • Familiarity with British and European drawing standards.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics is an advantage.
