We are currently seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to join our executive team in London.
Position Overview: As the CHRO, you will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing the overall human resources strategy in alignment with the company’s business objectives. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and organizational development. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring the company attracts, develops, and retains top talent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies that support the company’s growth objectives and operational goals. Provide strategic direction on all HR matters, including workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, and organizational development.
- Talent Acquisition & Retention: Oversee the recruitment process to ensure the company attracts and hires top talent. Implement retention strategies to maintain a motivated and engaged workforce.
- Employee Relations: Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Address employee relations issues promptly and effectively, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Compensation & Benefits: Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs that align with industry standards and support employee satisfaction and retention.
- Performance Management: Develop and implement performance management systems that drive employee engagement and accountability. Provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance employee performance.
- Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI): Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the organization. Promote a culture of respect, fairness, and equal opportunity for all employees.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all local and international labor laws and regulations. Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures that mitigate risk and protect the company’s interests.
- Organizational Development: Lead initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness, including change management, leadership development, and employee training programs.
- HR Technology: Leverage HR technology solutions to improve efficiency and enhance the employee experience. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of HR information systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) is preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in developing and executing HR strategies that align with business objectives.
- In-depth knowledge of UK labor laws and regulations, with experience managing HR functions in a global context.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
