We are seeking a highly experienced Calypso Functional SME to join our Capital Markets team. The ideal candidate will possess strong domain expertise in Fixed Income (FI), Foreign Exchange (FX), and Money Market (MM) instruments, with deep hands-on experience in Calypso v15 or higher. You will play a critical role in requirement gathering, system configuration, functional testing, and supporting business stakeholders across front-to-back office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Calypso for FI, FX, and MM products.
- Work closely with traders, risk, and operations teams to understand and document business requirements.
- Configure Calypso system as per functional needs including trade capture, lifecycle management, and settlements.
- Provide functional support for Calypso implementation, upgrades, and BAU enhancements.
- Conduct functional testing, UAT support, and assist QA teams in defining test cases.
- Coordinate with development teams for any required customizations or integration points.
- Support interfaces and workflows with upstream/downstream systems like Murex, Bloomberg, Reuters, Markit, etc.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements (MiFID II, EMIR, etc.).
- Provide training and guidance to users and junior team members.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in Capital Markets with at least 4+ years of experience in Calypso (v15 or later).
- Strong functional knowledge of Fixed Income (FI), Foreign Exchange (FX), and Money Market (MM) instruments and trade lifecycle.
- Experience in Calypso Trade Workflows, Trade Capture, Settlement, Confirmations, Collateral Management, and Risk modules.
- Familiarity with Calypso BO configuration, Event Templates, Task Station, and Accounting Rules.
- Excellent understanding of Front to Back trade flows and STP processes.
- Good knowledge of industry-standard messaging (SWIFT, FpML).
- Ability to write detailed functional specifications and test cases.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Calypso APIs, integration with other trading and risk systems.
- Prior experience in Calypso to Cloud migration or system upgrades.
- Knowledge of scripting (SQL, Python) for data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
