Overview of the Position

We’re looking for a commercially driven, high-performing Head of Sales to lead and grow SmartCo’s presence in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)/FMCG sector, with a strong focus on enterprise business applications and transformation projects. This role combines strategic sales leadership, client development, and input into our go-to-market strategies. SmartCo already has trusted, long-standing relationships with multiple FTSE100 clients and compelling case studies to support new business conversations. You will also shape how SmartCo presents in the market—collaborating on sales campaigns, thought leadership content, and branded initiatives like our SmartConnect podcast, white papers, and industry events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Growth & Business Development: Build and maintain relationships within the CPG/FMCG sector, identify and win new enterprise application and transformation opportunities, leveraging your network and SmartCo’s credentials.
  • Sales Strategy & Market Positioning: Develop and execute targeted sales and marketing campaigns, contribute to thought leadership initiatives, and creatively position SmartCo’s services.
  • Internal Collaboration & Delivery Alignment: Work with consulting, delivery, and project teams to align client expectations with project delivery, shape proposals and SOWs, and provide market feedback.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven success in senior sales/business development roles within technology consulting or professional services.
  • Experience selling enterprise application services into the CPG sector.
  • Strong network in global organisations.
  • Experience across the full project lifecycle, from RFI to optimisation.
  • Ability to work with delivery teams and shape client SOWs.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
