The Intermediary team acts as a broker channel, working with multiple partners across the UK to facilitate introduced deals into our Own Book. These partners offer a range of products, including loans and assets. The role's primary purpose is to handle inbound enquiries, build relationships, and support the smooth progression of introduced business from proposal to payout.
Description of Role & Key Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with partners regarding deal transactions.
- Handle inbound enquiries via dedicated broker/partner support channels.
- Set up and update partner information in internal systems.
- Review partner performance and provide feedback.
- Collaborate with the Head of Sales to support preferred partners and develop new and existing relationships.
- Issue trading agreements, approvals, and manage system registration processes for partners.
- Manage proposals, including obtaining necessary credit information from partners or end-users.
- Assist partners with raising and fulfilling finance agreements and related documentation.
- Work with the Head of Sales to proactively chase pipeline business to meet commercial objectives.
- Maintain accurate reports and system records for partner reviews.
- Support introducers to drive business volumes.
- Address objections or complaints from brokers or end-users by escalating to the relevant sales personnel or the Head of Intermediaries.
- Coordinate with the credit team to provide efficient service, including pre-vetting proposals and filing appeals on behalf of brokers.
- Perform other duties as reasonably assigned by your line manager.

- Product Knowledge: Understanding of commercial loans, asset finance products, and the broker model.
- Technical Knowledge: AML/KYC procedures, finance agreements, computer applications, credit and documentation processes.
- Relationship Management: Strong ability to maintain relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders via phone and email. Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
