With a strong reputation in the industry, they are looking for a proactive and growth-minded individual to join their growing business.
The Opportunity: Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Bid Manager to join their team, which is based in Leatherhead. This pivotal role involves managing the end-to-end bid process, from initial opportunity identification to final submission, ensuring high-quality, competitive, and compliant proposals that align with our business growth objectives. This can be predominately a remote role, with office travel required every few weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bid Management: Oversee the full bid lifecycle, ensuring timely and compliant submissions.
- Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior management to devise winning bid strategies that highlight our unique selling points and meet client requirements.
- Content Creation: Contribute to the writing and editing of proposals, ensuring clarity, coherence, and alignment with client needs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal teams, including estimating, procurement, and project management, to gather necessary information for bids.
- Market Analysis: Research and analyse market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to strengthen bid proposals.
- Compliance: Ensure all bids adhere to industry standards, regulations, and client expectations.
- Continuous Improvement: Conduct post-bid reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in bid management within the M&E or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services, including design, installation, and project delivery.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to create compelling bid responses.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to develop competitive pricing strategies.
- Experience managing multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in bid software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- APMP or equivalent bid management certification is desirable.
