We are currently looking for a Backend Developer to join one of our clients based in Woking. This role has been created as they’re expanding the team. The business is a Content Management System provider mainly working within the Health sector supporting businesses with shipping websites, intranets and self-service secure portals. This is an opportunity to join a long-serving team and help contribute through a high level of backend development and sharing/contributing ideas.
Key Responsibilities as a Backend Developer:- You will be working on developing whole solutions from short term (adding features, sorting small fixes) to long term projects from start to finish.
- Help with their transition by developing integrations between Hermes and features within the Atlas Framework.
- Build and ship customisations.
- Support the team and provide technical i.e third-line support of the systems.
- 3+ years backend experience with Node.js, microservices, REST APIs (bonus if you have Kubernetes and Mongo).
- Strong unit testing background with JEST.
- You’ve pushed your own code out to production.
- Helped mentor or set up and ran standups.
- Be an enthusiastic developer. Someone who can come in and suggest ideas, support the team but most importantly be able to have fun and work well with the rest of the team.
- Knowledge of PHP or Java.
- Understanding of server environment i.e Azure.
- Experience with React.
- Knowledge of Web Accessibility or Code Pipelines or continuous integration.
