Our client, a leading financial services corporation, is hiring a Data Architect to drive and design their data strategy as they transition from on-premises solutions to Azure cloud services. They are seeking a Data Architect with experience in architecting and migrating from SQL Server (2009-2019) to cloud-based solutions on an enterprise scale within the financial services domain. The client offers a salary of up to £100,000 (including bonus) plus hybrid working arrangements based in Mid Kent.
The ideal candidate will have experience designing and implementing large-scale data warehousing and data modeling projects, supporting the company's initiative to embed data at the core of their operations—an unprecedented move in their history.
Core responsibilities:- Undertake in-depth technical analysis of business requirements to inform technical solutions.
- Design technical solutions for business problems, incorporating feedback and making adjustments as needed.
- Document all data architecture designs, analysis work, and maintain data artifacts and design documents.
- Support the implementation of a new cloud data platform to support company-wide initiatives.
- Coach and develop junior team members.
- Previous experience as a Data Architect building major data changes within a regulated environment, ideally in financial services.
- Experience architecting a new data warehouse or data model for a large-scale organization.
- Technical skills in ETL, SSIS/SSAS, Erwin, and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Experience designing and implementing target data architectures.
- Proficiency in establishing data architecture design and governance processes.
- Mentoring junior data professionals.
