AVS Solution Architect

Responsibilities

• You will partner with program managers and service delivery teams to plan, architect, and guide complex infrastructure deployments and migrations for large enterprise customers moving from on-premises VMware environments to Azure VMware Solution.
• You will work directly with customer application infrastructure and security stakeholders to define requirements, strategies, and processes for successful design, deployment, and migrations.
• Maintain knowledge of the latest Azure AVS and VMware products to propose designs to customers and act as a subject matter expert and trainer for other specialists.
• Share knowledge through solution documentation, engaging technical communities, building automated self-help solutions, and creating training materials.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in architecting and designing data center and cloud infrastructures using VMware and Microsoft technologies.
• Knowledge and implementation experience with VMware\’s Core Cloud Infrastructure solutions.
• Experience with Azure VMware Solution, VMware vSphere 6.0 and above, VMware NSX-T network virtualization technologies, VMware vSAN, and VMware HCX Advanced Enterprise.
• Preferred experience with VMware Site Recovery Manager, vSphere Replication, management suites (vCD, vROps, vRNI, vRLI), and VMware Cloud Director.
• Experience with on-premises to cloud or cloud-to-cloud migrations using VMware HCX.
• Experience with relevant Azure technologies such as Azure ExpressRoute, Azure VPN, Azure Virtual WAN, Azure Route Server, Azure Disk Pools, Azure NetApp Files, Azure Monitoring, and Security solutions.
• Knowledge of third-party network virtual appliances, firewalls, load balancers, routers for Azure and VMware environments.
• Understanding of cloud management systems, core platform architecture, security compliance standards, and datacenter networking topologies.
• Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills.

Education Qualifications

• BS or postgraduate degree in Computer Science or a technology-focused discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Certifications such as VCDX, DCV, CMA are preferred but not required.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience working with enterprise customers on Azure-specific solutions and deployments.
• Effective communication skills, understanding of onboarding processes, and a vision for future solutions.
• Excellent customer service skills, ability to handle sensitive situations, lead projects, and motivate teams.
