Position: Associate PVC (Digital Campus)

Type: Full-time, permanent (interim consideration possible)

Location: Split between Horizons (Reading, Berkshire) and Home, with 2-6 visits per month to Horizons Head Office

Salary: Competitive, senior leadership level in Higher Education

Overview

We seek a motivated and enthusiastic leader to enhance UCEM’s Digital Campus strategy. This role involves leading digital transformation projects aimed at improving digital education and student experience, providing strategic direction for digital learning, technology-enhanced education, and student support.

You will collaborate with the Senior Leadership team to ensure UCEM remains at the forefront of digital capabilities in higher education. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual to influence the student experience during an exciting growth phase.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Digital Campus Project, ensuring strategic digital transformation across education and student services
• Manage the Digital Education and Learning Technology teams, fostering a shared vision and operational plan
• Collaborate with Student Experience leadership to enhance student support, retention, and engagement through digital initiatives
• Represent the Digital Campus project at fortnightly Executive team meetings as a member of the SLT
• Establish strategic partnerships with technology providers, industry leaders, and professional bodies

Requirements

• Evidence of ongoing professional development in digital learning and senior leadership
• Proven leadership in digital education, learning technology, or online program development within higher education
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and engaging stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to collaborate effectively across the institution
