The ideal candidate is an experienced commercial lawyer specializing in technology, data privacy, data protection, and AI. The role involves providing practical, business-focused legal advice globally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support legal matters related to technology, data privacy, data protection, and AI for a global organization.
• Advise on relevant laws and regulations, and support daily commercial and regulatory legal issues.
• Manage compliance with laws and policies across jurisdictions.
• Assist Technology and Risk Management teams with legal support.
• Develop and implement governance policies and procedures.
• Review and advise on new services and solutions, focusing on legal and regulatory issues.
• Manage external legal counsel efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Provide practical advice balancing risk and business needs.
• Create legal presentations and articles on key topics.
• Mentor junior team members.

Candidate Profile:

• UK qualified lawyer with significant experience, preferably with a major law firm or relevant in-house experience.
• Strong legal skills with the ability to handle complex matters.
• Strategic risk management skills and quick issue recognition.
• Experience negotiating and reviewing agreements across jurisdictions.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Capable of managing legal risks in a fast-growing global environment.
