About the Role
We are seeking an Assistant Garment Technologist to support our Garment Technology Team. The role involves administration and collaboration with designers, manufacturers, and production teams to ensure products meet quality, fit, and production standards while maintaining delivery schedules.
Responsibilities
- Ensure proto, fit, and Gold Seals meet specifications and brand standards.
- Support the team with fit comments, specifications, amendments, and size charts, communicating clearly with the supply base.
- Experience with PLM systems is advantageous.
- Maintain test reports for fabrics, yarns, interlinings, trims, and artwork at the proto stage.
- Coordinate bulk and garment testing, considering quality and cost.
- Conduct wearer trials on new fabrics or high-risk styles and document findings.
Additional Tasks
- Visit warehouses and shops regularly to monitor quality and compliance.
- Review quality reports and feedback appropriately.
- Coordinate fit reviews to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Prioritize workload based on schedules and critical paths.
- Maintain professional relationships with teams and supply base.
- Organize department files and keep workstations tidy.
