Job Description:
We’re recruiting for a newly created Assistant Finance Business Partner role within a high-growth, commercially focused finance team. This is a brilliant opportunity for a part-qualified finance professional to step into a broad, business-facing role with plenty of exposure to senior stakeholders and commercial decision-making.
Working closely with the Finance Business Partner, Senior Finance Business Partner, CFO and FD, you’ll support a range of invested businesses with forecasting, reporting, and insightful financial analysis. You’ll also play a key role in preparing management information, identifying risks and opportunities, and helping to drive continuous improvements in financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including commercial teams, senior management, and invested business leaders
- Act as a finance contact for invested businesses, supporting them with day-to-day financial queries and longer-term planning
- Present financial insights and analysis to senior stakeholders, both finance and non-finance
- Provide meaningful analysis of business performance and financial results
- Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts for invested businesses and the wider group
- Assist with scenario modelling and strategic planning
- Identify risks, trends, and variances, offering proactive solutions
What We’re Looking For:
- Part-qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) or actively studying, with study support provided
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of business performance drivers
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to present to senior stakeholders
- Good working knowledge of management accounts, forecasting, budgeting, and financial modelling
- A proactive approach with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative, fast-paced team
- Power BI or similar data tools experience is desirable but not essential
- Experience working with non-finance teams and explaining complex financial information clearly
What’s on Offer:
- £40,000 – £45,000 salary depending on experience
- Study support for professional qualifications
- Private medical insurance (Vitality)
- 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
- Hybrid working: 3 days in office (Mon–Wed), 2 days from home
